AVETMISS
AVETMISS reporting software for Australian RTOs
XPortal collects AVETMISS data as students enrol, checks all ten NAT files record by record, and exports a package that is ready for NCVER’s AVETMISS Validation Software (AVS).
AVETMISS
An AVETMISS engine that won’t let an error through. Every field of every NAT file validated before you export.
- All ten NAT files validated, record by record and field by field
- Files that pass the AVS without a single error
- Every error traced to the exact record, with a fix offered
How AVETMISS reporting works. From enrolment to a clean NAT package.
Collected at enrolment
Every application has an AVETMISS tab for the details the standard needs: gender, Indigenous status, country of birth, main language, citizenship, schooling, labour force status and study reason.
USIs verified as you enter them
A USI is checked against the national USI registry on the application. A domestic student can’t be submitted without one, unless they hold an exemption or you choose to set it later.
A reporting period you choose
Collections are cumulative from 1 January and stay within one collection year. Report the year to date, to the last month or quarter end, or the whole of last year.
All ten NAT files checked
A readiness check runs over NAT00010, NAT00020, NAT00030, NAT00060, NAT00080, NAT00085, NAT00090, NAT00100, NAT00120 and NAT00130, record by record and field by field.
Every issue leads to its fix
Issues are grouped by NAT file and by type. Each one opens the student, delivery location or organisation setting that needs correcting, and the student is rechecked when you come back.
Results that update themselves
A Satisfactory mark on an assessment updates the unit outcome and the AVETMISS data with it, so the report follows what trainers record.
A package you can keep
Generating creates a ZIP of the NAT files and keeps it unchanged as a snapshot you can download again. You lodge it through AVS yourself; XPortal never submits for you.
Common questions. What RTOs ask us before a demo.
Which NAT files does XPortal produce?
All ten: NAT00010, NAT00020, NAT00030, NAT00060, NAT00080, NAT00085, NAT00090, NAT00100, NAT00120 and NAT00130.
Does XPortal submit our data to NCVER?
No. XPortal generates the NAT package and you lodge it yourself through NCVER’s AVETMISS Validation Software (AVS). Generating a package never submits anything.
What happens when our data has errors?
The readiness check lists every blocking error and warning by NAT file and record. Open one to go straight to the student, delivery location or organisation setting that needs fixing, then recheck.
Can we report part of a year?
Yes. Choose the year to date, the year to the last month or quarter end, or the whole of last year. Collections are cumulative from 1 January within one collection year.
Does XPortal verify USIs?
Yes. A student’s USI is verified against the national USI registry when you enter it on their application.
